Our shells are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, but we do not advertise them as a food-grade product. If you plan to use these shells for food purposes, we strongly recommend that you sanitize them in accordance with local, state, and federal food and safety requirements.

When purchasing shelf-stable, non-perishable items from Intershell Seafood, shipping methods are determined by the contents of your overall order.

If your order contains exclusively non-perishable goods, it will be shipped using standard, cost-effective ground delivery. However, if you combine non-perishable items with fresh or frozen seafood, your entire order will be packaged together in thermal insulation with ice packs or dry ice and sent via expedited shipping to ensure the perishable items remain safe.

All cleaned shell orders are packed in bubble wrap envelopes and extra protectant to avoid breakage during transit.
