Pick Your Prep:

While both are popular white fish from the same family, our frozen cod and haddock offer distinct culinary experiences.

  • Frozen Cod: Known for its large, moist flakes and a subtle sweetness. The fillets are thick and firm, making them excellent for a variety of preparations, including grilling, searing, or baking.
  • Frozen Haddock: Has a slightly finer, firmer flake and a more pronounced sweet flavor. Haddock is a classic choice for fish and chips because of its firm texture, which holds up perfectly to frying.
  • Classic New England Ritz Bake: Topped with crushed Ritz crackers, melted butter, lemon juice, and parsley, then baked until golden brown.
  • Pub-Style Fish & Chips: Dipped in a light, ice-cold beer batter and fried crispy, served with malt vinegar and homemade tartar sauce.
  • Pan-Seared with Garlic Butter & Thyme: Searing for 3–4 minutes per side and basting at the end with butter, garlic, and fresh herbs.
  • Baja Cod Fish Tacos: Seasoned with chili and cumin, pan-roasted, and served in warm tortillas with cabbage slaw and cilantro-lime crema.
  • Cod Chowder: Simmered gently with heavy cream, diced potatoes, crisp bacon, onions, and fresh thyme.
  • Mediterranean Baked Cod: Roasted over a bed of cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, capers, garlic, and extra virgin olive oil.
  • Miso-Glazed Cod: Marinated in white miso, mirin, and soy sauce, then broiled until caramelized and flaky.

Frozen items are shipped with dry ice to ensure the arrive fully frozen. Please place them directly into your freezer upon arrival.

If you order fresh and frozen items together, we package your shipment using gel ice packs instead of dry ice to protect your fresh goods. As a result, frozen items may partially thaw during transit. You can safely place them straight back into your freezer, or allow them to finish defrosting and enjoy right away.

Defrosting Guidelines

  1. Overnight in the Fridge: Small packs take 6–12 hours; large packs take 12–48 hours.
  2. Cold Water Bowl: Submerge sealed items in cold water for a faster thaw.
  • Note: Do not use hot water or attempt to thaw by cooking, as this ruins the natural texture and flavor.
