Whole Flounder is available on an intermittent basis. Please email us to inquire about availability before purchasing. We only have whole flounders available the the ground fish boats land at our wharf.
Bring the ultimate "boat-to-table" experience into your kitchen with our Fresh Whole Flounder. Landed right off our own vessel, these fish are as fresh as it gets—perfect for those who appreciate the delicate flavor and elegant presentation of a whole-roasted or pan-fried flatfish.
Because we fish the local waters, our catch is a rotating, seasonal mix of the finest flounder species. When you order from us, you’re getting the very best of what the ocean provided that morning.
This fish arrives with the head on, guts in. Our flounder are wild-caught and naturally vary in size. Expect your fish to range anywhere from 1 to 3 pounds. Because we land a mixed variety, we cannot guarantee requests for specific species. Your order will be filled with the freshest flounder we have "in-house" at the time of your purchase.

While all flounder are known for their sweet, white, flaky meat, each species has its own subtle character:
- Black Back (Winter Flounder): The classic choice. It features thick, firm fillets and a mild, sweet flavor that holds up beautifully to lemon and butter.
- Yellowtail Flounder: Notable for its slender profile and distinct yellow tint on the tail. It offers a light, delicate texture that is prized by seafood lovers.
- Dab (American Plaice): A sweet, small-flaked fish that is incredibly tender. It’s a local favorite for simple preparations.
- Grey Sole (Witch Flounder): Often considered the most "gourmet" of the bunch. It has a very refined, slender shape and a silky, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
- Fluke (Summer Flounder): Occasionally landed in our nets, Fluke is slightly meatier and firmer, making it excellent for high-heat roasting.

Whole flounder is best prepared by scoring the skin, rubbing with olive oil and sea salt, and roasting at 400°F until the meat pulls easily away from the bone.
