Boiling: This is one of the easiest methods. Simply drop the thawed tails into a pot of boiling water and cook for about 1 minute per ounce. The shells will turn a vibrant red, and the meat will be opaque and firm.
Grilling: For a smoky flavor, grill the tails. Start by cutting the top of the shell lengthwise and pulling the meat out to rest on top. Brush with melted butter and your favorite seasonings, then grill meat-side down for 3-5 minutes before flipping and cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
Baking: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare the tails by splitting the shell and pulling the meat up. Brush with butter, lemon juice, and herbs, then bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the meat is opaque.
Cooking frozen lobster tails is a straightforward process that yields impressive results. Before cooking, it's best to thaw the tails in the refrigerator overnight. If you're short on time, you can also place them in a sealed plastic bag and submerge them in cold water for about 30 to 60 minutes.
Frozen items are shipped with dry ice to ensure the arrive fully frozen. Please place them directly into your freezer upon arrival.
If you order fresh and frozen items together, we package your shipment using gel ice packs instead of dry ice to protect your fresh goods. As a result, frozen items may partially thaw during transit. You can safely place them straight back into your freezer, or allow them to finish defrosting and enjoy right away.
Defrosting Guidelines
- Overnight in the Fridge: Small packs take 6–12 hours; large packs take 12–48 hours.
- Cold Water Bowl: Submerge sealed items in cold water for a faster thaw.
- Note: Do not use hot water or attempt to thaw by cooking, as this ruins the natural texture and flavor.
