Ready to take your sushi and seafood dishes to the next level? Our Premium Tobiko & Ikura Variety Pack is the perfect way to try all the different flavors of tobiko. Believe it or not... not all tobiko & ikura is created equal, and this special discounted pack is designed for those who want to taste it all.
While many roes are used merely for decoration, our tobiko and ikura are in a league of their own. Each bead is a testament to what roe should be: an explosion of flavor and texture. Our tobiko delivers a satisfying pop with a clean, slightly salty taste, while our ikura bursts with a rich, buttery flavor that will leave you wanting more. Adding it to your homemade sushi or seafood creations introduces a depth that a standard roll often lacks. These aren't just garnishes; they are essential ingredients that elevate every single bite.
So delicious you can eat them by the spoonful, our roe is incredibly versatile. Sprinkle them over rice, mix them into a seafood salad, or simply enjoy them on their own to truly appreciate their exquisite taste.
Don't settle for mediocre stuff. Choose Intershell's variety pack and discover the difference that premium quality makes, all while enjoying a great value.

While both are popular fish roes, ikura and tobiko are distinctly different, each bringing a unique character to the table.
- Size and Texture: The most noticeable difference is size. Ikura are large, pearl-like beads, about 5-7 millimeters in diameter, with a soft, juicy membrane that bursts easily. Tobiko, on the other hand, is the much smaller roe of flying fish, with a firm, crunchy texture that provides a satisfying, crisp "pop."
- Flavor Profile: Ikura offers a bold, rich, and oily flavor with a pronounced salmon taste. Its robust character makes it a centerpiece ingredient. Tobiko has a milder, sweeter, and more subtle flavor, often used for its texture and color to complement other ingredients in a dish.
- Color: Ikura is naturally a vibrant, translucent reddish-orange. Tobiko is also naturally orange but is often dyed with ingredients like wasabi, yuzu, or squid ink to create a variety of colors, such as green, red, or black.
- Orange: Mildly sweet, salty, and subtle ocean flavor with a clean "pop." Most popular flavor & color.
- Red: Spicy, tangy, and bold with a mild chili heat kick.
- Black: Earthy, rich, and savory with deep umami notes from squid ink.
- Green: Sharp, pungent, and herbal with a fast nasal heat burst from wasabi.
Frozen items are shipped with dry ice to ensure the arrive fully frozen. Please place them directly into your freezer upon arrival.
If you order fresh and frozen items together, we package your shipment using gel ice packs instead of dry ice to protect your fresh goods. As a result, frozen items may partially thaw during transit. You can safely place them straight back into your freezer, or allow them to finish defrosting and enjoy right away.
Defrosting Guidelines
- Overnight in the Fridge: Small packs take 6–12 hours; large packs take 12–48 hours.
- Cold Water Bowl: Submerge sealed items in cold water for a faster thaw.
- Note: Do not use hot water or attempt to thaw by cooking, as this ruins the natural texture and flavor.
