July – September (Soft Shell Crab Season) – Live Jonah Crabs Unavailable to ship

During the soft shell season period for live crabs, the meat within the crab is minimal and the mortality rate is higher due to the softer shells.

Jonah Crabs are another popular New England dinner time favorite. Just like our Live Lobsters, our crabs are caught by local fishermen and landed directly at our Gloucester Wharf, then immediately stored in our chilled ocean water tanks.
